Faculty Of Dental Science earlier known as MS Ramaiah Dental College & Hospital was established in the year 1991.

It was renamed as Faculty of Dental Science in the year 2013 & MS Ramaiah University Of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS).

The Dental hospital attached to the college has 300+ dental chairs & laboratories to provide clinical service with more than 90 faculty members and 450 students.

Students are trained at the attached college hospital as well as at adopted hospitals in rural and urban areas of Bangalore.

    MDS:

    Private Clinical Seats: 10-12 Lakh per annum.
    Private Para Clinical Seats: 3,57,076 /- INR per annum.

    The programs and curriculum offered by the school adhere to norms prescribed by the Dental Council of India (DCI). The curriculum offered is outcome-based and helps students to develop critical thinking abilities and to imbibe relevant practical skills for a smooth transition from academics to the real-world work environment. Opportunities are provided for college kids to try to do their internship in India or abroad depending upon their preference. Alumni of the school are working for quality healthcare organizations in India and abroad and while many have established successful practices of their own.

    The faculty has an attached dental hospital with quite 260 dental chairs, laboratories, and other facilities for providing clinical services. Students are trained at the attached hospital also as adopted hospitals in urban and rural areas around Bangalore. There are around 75 members of the college and 450 students. Members of the school are well trained in research and present their research findings at various forums and publish quite 50 papers, annually, in peer-reviewed journals. the school also has a lively dental education unit that supports and provides for innovation in medical education. The Department of Public Health Dentistry plays a really active role in inculcating a way of social responsibility through regular dental camps, community orientation programs, and faculty dental health programs. the school has collaboration agreements with dental Schools in Hongkong, Ghent University. the school also publishes the Journal of Orofacial & Dental Research which is internationally peer-reviewed. additionally, a hospital provides special care clinics for geriatric care, handicapped children, carcinoma patients, tobacco cessation center, etc.
