DU UG Admission 2023: First merit list on August 1, registration open till July 24

The University of Delhi (DU) has announced the admission schedule for undergraduate (UG) programs for the 2023-24 academic year. The admissions will be conducted through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) based on the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG), the results of which were declared on July 15.

According to the schedule, the first merit list of CSAS admissions will be displayed on the DU website on August 1. Classes for the first semester will commence on August 16, as per the university’s statement. The CSAS phase 2 application process has already begun on July 17 and will continue until July 24. Candidates who have not registered on the CSAS portal can do so within this timeframe.

To provide candidates with an opportunity to modify certain fields, a correction window has been provided. Candidates who have completed Phase 1 and wish to make changes can avail of this facility until 4:59 pm on July 20. The notification clarifies that the correction window is solely for updating the profile and allows OBC(NCL), EWS, SC, ST, Minority, and PwBD candidates to re-upload their updated documents/certificates. However, certain fields like name, photograph, and signature cannot be edited or modified.

The revised schedule also affects the theory and practical exams. The theory exams initially scheduled for July 17-19 will now be conducted on July 26, August 1, and August 2. Similarly, the practical exams that were originally planned for July 14, 15, and 16 will now take place on August 3, 4, and 5.

The DU UG admission process plays a significant role in shaping the academic journey of students. The CSAS system ensures a fair and transparent allocation of seats based on the CUET UG scores. By conducting the admissions through a centralized system, the university aims to streamline the process and provide equal opportunities to all eligible candidates.

Prospective students seeking admission to the University of Delhi must adhere to the specified deadlines and guidelines provided by the university. It is essential for candidates to register on the CSAS portal within the given timeframe and utilize the correction window, if required, to ensure accurate and up-to-date information in their profiles.
