JNU invites online applications for Under Graduate (UG) & Certificate of Proficiency (COP) programmes for the Academic Session 2023-24. Candidates who have appeared in Common University Entrance Test – CUET (UG)-2023 conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) can only apply online w.e.f. 16.07.2023 to 02.08.2023 by login on the website https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in 

The intake and eligibility criteria along with other details are mentioned in the JNU EProspectus available on www.jnu.ac.in. Candidates should satisfy themselves about the eligibility criteria and other details before apply

PhD admissions 

Online applications are invited for Ph.D. programme (Academic Session 2023-24) under JRF category. Candidates can apply online from 5th July, 2023 to 4th August, 2023 (upto 11:50 PM) by registering on the website 

JNU website 

https://jnuee.jnu.ac.in. 

The intake and eligibility criteria along with other details related to Ph.D. programmes under JRF category are mentioned in the JNU e-Prospectus available on JNU website www.jnu.ac.in. Candidates must ensure themselves about the eligibility criteria and other details before applying. Online application form for Ph.D. programme through Entrance Examination 2023-24 will be announced separately. Candidates are advised to visit JNU website regularly for further information/updation.

Only those candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed for admission of candidates to Ph.D. programmes as mentioned in the respective schools/centres and have qualified for Junior Research Fellowship of CSIR, UGC National Eligibility Test (NET), ICMR, AYUSH, DBT examinations are eligible to apply separately in the prescribed form under this category in the respective school/centre/Special Centre wherever separate intake through JRF category is available (the link for this category will be available on the JNU website).  

candidates shall be exempted from appearing in Computer Based Test (CBT). However, candidates shall have to appear for an interview and their selection will depend on their performance in the interview. Candidates who have appeared in these examinations, but results awaited may also apply under this category.

 Please note that candidates who have been awarded “Lectureship/Assistant Professorship” (without JRF) in the CSIR/UGC examination and any other fellowship such as National Fellowship for Scheduled Caste (NFSC), National Fellowship for Other Backward Classes (NFOBC), Maulana Azad National Fellowship (MANF) and National Fellowship for PWD (NFPWD) on the basis of Lectureship/Assistant Professorship (without JRF) are not eligible.

Candidates may make sure themselves that their JRF certificate must be valid at the time of physical verification of documents. Candidature will be rejected, if found, their JRF certificate not valid at the time of physical verification of the documents. In case of candidates applying under JRF category selection will be done on the basis of 100% viva score.

Only those candidates who fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements as prescribed for

admission of candidates to Ph.D. programme as mentioned for the School of

Engineering and qualified for GATE fellowship are eligible to apply separately in the

prescribed form under this category (the link for this category will be available on the

JNU website). The intake will be as per the availability of number of fellowships and

requirement of seats in the School.
