Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) 2023
Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA) was established in 2003 to provide proactive support to professional education & facilitate & streamline admission to postgraduate professional courses, viz., MBA, PGDM & MCA. There are 169 + member B Schools of KPPGCA located across Karnataka.
KMAT was born out of the felt – need to have a single unifed test for admissions in the State of Karnataka into professional courses viz MBA, PGDM and MCA. KMAT is conducted for admission to AICTE approved University affiliated Self-financing colleges in Karnataka.
Conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), KMAT is the gateway to more than 169 + AICTE-approved University-affiliated B-schools in Bangalore and Karnataka. KMAT is an All India exam that will be held in more than 10 cities all across the country and is open to candidates from all parts of India and Abroad.

Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a standardised test being administered since 2003 to facilitate Post Graduate Institutions to screen candidates for admission to MBA, PGDM ad MCA courses. Any Post Graduate Institution within the state can consider KMAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates.
KMAT scores are being released to both Management Institutions and Students. The purpose of KMAT is to provide information to institutions on a candidate’s aptitude and skills to cope up with a post graduate program. It therefore assists in making decisions pertaining to admissions to institutions. KMAT scores is one of the sources of information and should be used whenever possible in combination with other information prior to admissions

Eligibility :
Entry requirements into professional courses like MBA/PGDM/MCA in Karnataka are followed as per the UGC guidelines.
MBA/PGDM
Bachelors degree with minimum 3 years duration/ Masters degree examination of any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering/ Technology or equivalent, and have secured at least 50% of marks in the aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidate). Candidates in their final year of bachelor’s degree are also eligible.
MCA
Bachelor’s degree with 50% marks. Candidates should have studied Maths at 10+2 stage or at graduation level.
