About Mahatma Gandhi Veterinary College

Mahatma Gandhi Veterinary College, an institution under Smt. Urmila Devi Mahgaiya Paropkari Trust, Bharatpur, was established in 2005-06 and is located at 1km from Saras Chouraha, in the heart of Bharatpur City on 30 acres of land adjacent to National Highway 21 (Agra jaipur Highway), near Keoledeo Bird Sanctuary (Ghana). The city is well connected to different parts of country by Rail & Road and is surrounded by Agra and Mathura districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The college follows course curriculum as prescribed by the VCI norms (as mentioned in Minimum standards of Veterinary educatiom2016). The college is having two storey building for clinical, para clinical departments, labs and a spacious library. All the lecture theatres are having facilities to teach with latest IT enabled techniques, a well furnished auditorium and an examination hall. The college is having qualified and experienced teaching staff. Transport facilities, ambulatory facilities to facilitate the student are also available.

Mahatma Gandhi Veterinary College is providing the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course of five and half years duration (four and half year course and 12 months compulsory internship as per VCI recommendations ).

Mahatma Gandhi Veterinary College provides its students and staff a hygienic and clean environment. Our infrastructure not only focuses on comfort but keeps in mind the importance of good health at this age.
