About Saveetha University
SIMATS was formerly known as Saveetha University, the name has been changed to Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (Deemed to be University) with effect from 30th Nov. (SIMATS), is a prestigious institution which excels in the fields of Engineering, Science and Technology for more than three successful decades. It offers multi-disciplinary academic programmes in various fields of Medical, Dental, Engineering ,Pharmacy, Nursing, Management, Law, Liberal Arts & Sciences, Allied Health Sciences, Physiotherapy, Architecture & Design, Physical Education, Occupational Therapy and Hospitality. To be and to be recognised for the standards of excellence in professional education and high quality scientific research. The Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust was created in 1986 mainly to provide medical relief, to promote Education and encourage Research. The Trust started a Saveetha Dental College and established an attached General Hospital in the year 1988. Subsequently the Trust established a Nursing College, Physiotherapy College, Occupational Therapy College and an Engineering College in order to comply with our commitment and to serve the people, especially those living in Rural Village in and around Chennai and adjoining districts of Tamilnadu. To fulfil the norms of the University Grants Commission, for the purpose of obtaining “Deemed to be University” status, Saveetha Medical and Educational Trust has sponsored another Trust (viz.) Saveetha Institute of Medical & Technical Sciences (SIMATS) in the year 2001. Subsequently, the said Trust (SIMATS) was declared as “Deemed to be University” with the following three Institutions under Section -3 of the UGC Act, 1956 as per Notification of the Govt. of India No.F.9-3/2002-U.3 dated 18-03-2005, now known as Saveetha Institute of Medical and Technical Sciences (SIMATS) (Deemed to be University).

- The companies which offer between 6 LPA and 10 LPA will be considered as Dream Company. One condition to this category is that, if the difference in CTC (Salary – Cost To Company) is between the existing offer and the dream offer is less than a 1.5 LPA, then those students will not be allowed to appear for the ‘dream company’ interview.
Super Dream Companies
- The companies which offer above 10 LPA will be considered as Super Dream companies. The condition to this category is that, if the difference in CTC is between the existing offer and the Super dream offer is less than 3 LPA, then those students will not be allowed for the ‘Super dream company’ interview.
