John College with its premises in Campbell Road, Austin Town, Bangalore – 47 begun. The college started by Dr. Thomas P John, offered a 3 year BHM (Hotel Management) Degree course to 24 students to start with. The college also offered the BBM and BSc (CMS) courses.
Since a humble beginning in 1993, there has been no looking back and every year the college crosses new milestones. Two decades later the college premises has expanded to include new departments and blocks and spread over an area of 20 acres of land.

Process for Ph.D Admission
The College fee structure for Research Students (Ph.D) is as follows for the academic year 2023-2024 1. External – Rs. 30,000 per year 2. Internal (our staff on Roll) – Rs. 25,000 per year
Admission Procedure:
- Application has to be Filled Online in VTU (Visvesvaraya Technological University) Jnanashodha Portal (https://jnanashodha.vtu.ac.in/).
- Based on the application received, VTU will call for the VTU-ETR (VTU Eligibility test for Research), followed by Pre-registration Interview.
- On successful completion of the Pre-registration Interview, the Candidate has to meet the Principal and concerned HOD at our Campus.
- The Candidate need to pay Rs. 5000 towards counseling fees, seat reservation and application fee (nonrefundable) in the cash counter and then submit the application form with the receipt copy of Rs. 5000 at our Admission Department. The same application will be handed over to the Candidate within 2 days with seal and signature of concerned HOD and Principal.
- The Candidate has to personally pay VTU Ph.D registration Fee to VTU, Belgaum and may come to our campus and pay the balance College Fee of Rs. 25,000 (for external candidates)/Rs. 20,000 (for internal candidates) at the cash counter and the receipt will have to be shown at the Admission Office and obtain the Roll No. and then proceed to meet the HOD.

Dream Companies
- The companies which offer between 5 LPA and 10 LPA will be considered as Dream Company. One condition to this category is that, if the difference in CTC (Salary – Cost To Company) is between the existing offer and the dream offer is less than a 1.5 LPA, then those students will not be allowed to appear for the ‘dream company’ interview.
Super Dream Companies
- The companies which offer above 10 LPA will be considered as Super Dream companies. The condition to this category is that, if the difference in CTC is between the existing offer and the Super dream offer is less than 3 LPA, then those students will not be allowed for the ‘Super dream company’ interview.
