From its humble beginning as a Food Craft Institute in1969 offering short term courses, the College was re-christened to its present name in1983 and commenced offering the 3 Year Degree in Hotel & Hospitality adminstration. The Bangalore Institute was set up jointly by the Government of India and the Government of Karnataka..
