Maharashtra announces free higher education policy for EWS, SEBC, OBC girls:

 

The Maharashtra government has unveiled another women-focused program, the Majhi Ladki Bahin scheme, in the State Budget. Under this policy, girls from the Economically Weaker Section (EWS), Other Following the success of the Majhi Ladki Bahin plan, the Maharashtra government has announced another policy aimed at empowering women: free higher education for girls from the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Socially and Economically Backward Classes (SEBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

This program, which aims to advance women’s education, was decided upon on Monday during a Cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. In addition, a government decree states that test and tuition fees for orphaned students of both genders will be waived.
